The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that as of February 4, 1992, the country changed forever and paid tribute to the heroes of that date.

From the Mountain Barracks , the leader of the red awning paid tribute to the soldiers who accompanied the military rebellion, led by Commander Hugo Chávez 34 years ago, and which opened a new path for Venezuelan history.

“February 4 is more alive than ever (...) February 4, 1992 Venezuela changed forever (...)”. He also recognized the courage of those who lived the date with detachment.

“I come here to thank these men and women who left everything that day, who threw fear behind their backs and went out to fight for their ideals,” he said.

“Thank you dear brothers, from my soul my heart goes out to you for being present. Thank you very much because this is a story that no one will tell us and you lived it with detachment; the only thing a revolutionary has to offer is his life.”
