This Monday, March 10, the
general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, reaffirmed
that the Plan Back to the Homeland has been operating since 2018 and is not temporary because of what the United States (USA) says.
“We are not upset here, nobody forces
us to do anything (...) we are going to continue; the Plan Back to the Fatherland is not temporary because
the United States said we are going to send those who live
here, the Plan Back to the Fatherland has been going on since 2018 and more than 920 thousand
Venezuelans have returned,” he said, noting that a flight will soon come from Bolivia with compatriots.
In this regard, he specified that the decision of the
President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to stop the return of compatriots
from the United States is due to that country's decision to suspend Chevron's license. “
We said something is happening here, so we suspend everything (...) it's not our fault (...) and the party supports the president in all this,”
he said, stressing that the Head of State's proposal was a zero agenda.
He recalled that Venezuela never asked Chevron
to return, on the contrary, the company was the one that carried out the corresponding procedures
in the United States to come to the country. At the same time, he specified that after the change of administration
in the North American nation, Venezuela received the American special envoy,
Richard Grenell, to establish a government-to-government dialogue.
“All we have asked
for is respect, we don't meddle in anyone's internal affairs and we hope that no one
will meddle in ours,” he said.
He also reaffirmed the complaint about the demonization campaign promoted by the Venezuelan right against migrants. In turn, he questioned how these sectors celebrate because “now Venezuelans are going to spend their jobs (...) ignoring the integrity and dignity of the Venezuelan people; they cannot be called sons and daughters of Venezuela, they are patriotic vendors.”
“It's
a great campaign against Venezuelans, of demonization of Venezuelans wherever they are in
the world and that's where hate
campaigns came from, persecution against Venezuelans, here was a detailed
review of each of these people who have come from the United States,
only 15 (they have justice) and none of them have links to the Aragua Train,”
he said, reaffirming that someone is lying to the Trump administration .
He emphasized that all migrants who have arrived in Venezuela have been provided with the necessary care.
