Diosdado Cabello assured that the Venezuelan Government did not ask Chevron to operate in Venezuela, but that this oil corporation negotiated with someone from the country's top government who issued it a license to extract oil in Venezuelan territory.
“We didn't ask that Chevron come to Venezuela, Chevron came alone, it made its agreements there in the United States, we don't know with whom, and here it was greeted with open doors like anyone who wants to work in the country, with clear rules for everyone,” he stressed during his Con El Mazo Dando program.
In addition, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) pointed out that the US government, with the sanction of Chevron, harms not a country but its company.
“The sanctions are against Chevron because they have been persecuting us for a long time, what happens is that this town does not kneel before anyone and does not give up, which is something else,” said the Chavista parliamentarian.
