Diosdado Cabello: Youth guarantees the irreversibility of the Revolution

Diosdado Cabello, general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), assured that youth play a predominant role within this political framework, because they guarantee the irreversibility of the Bolivarian Revolution.

“What makes the Revolution irreversible is that the hotbed of youth is growing, participating, gaining experience, receiving responsibilities. Nobody else is going to do this, no party takes their youth into account and gives them spaces, participation, responsibilities because older generations don't let them,” said Cabello, while revealing the massive participation of young people in the popular assemblies held this Saturday to choose the PSUV's standard-bearers for the elections of May 25.

Also, during a press conference held this Sunday, he highlighted that the Revolution guarantees the presence of young people at different levels of government and I use as an example of the above the National Assembly where there are a large number of young deputies.

“That's why there is a youth leadership training school. Every week around 250 to 300 young people from all over Venezuela are entering there. There they study training, teaching and experience modules. We believe that we must give a long breath to the Revolution,” he said.

In the same way, Cabello called on young people to have “zero commitments” to corruption or economic groups that could subsequently lead them astray.

“You can't mortgage the future by having relationships with economic groups that end up managing them in the end. There we have as an example the 2007 generation of the opposition, that is the generation of Yon Goicoechea. This is a lost generation, everyone lives abroad like magnates with the money that has been stolen in Venezuela, from the exploitation of migrants through a network of coyotes,” he said.
