The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center recorded a magnitude 5.8 earthquake that occurred on Tuesday in eastern Cuba, with an epicenter 95 kilometers east of Guantánamo.

The earthquake occurred at 00:28 (local time) and originated 12 kilometers deep, according to preliminary data from the agency, RT reported.

This activity is part of the usual seismic pattern in the eastern region, where the largest tectonic interaction in the country is concentrated. So far, there have been no damages or interruptions to services.
