Ecuador: armed attack in Guayaquil leaves six dead and seven injured

An armed attack on the El Sol cooperative, in the Monte Sinaí sector of Guayaquil, in Ecuador, left six people dead and seven injured.
The incident was recorded around 3 in the morning on Sunday on public roads. The crime is linked to a territorial dispute over the control of drug microtrafficking, according to preliminary investigations by the National Police.
Telesur highlighted that witnesses reported the arrival of a vehicle with individuals dressed in garments similar to military uniforms, who shot with rifles and pistols. At the site, 70 struck pods of calibers 9 mm and 2.23, two cartridges and a deformed bullet were found, reported the Criminalistics staff, quoted by Radio Pichincha.
The fatalities were identified as María Fernanda Calvas Sevillano (33), Jonathan Joel Suárez Mendieta (28), Julián Grueso Ayoví (46), Oliver Gerardo Quintero Casquete (36), José Alberto Camacaro Corrales (Venezuelan) and Alexander Fernando Canelos Zambrano (23).
Among the injured, Jiner Alfredo Grueso Málaga (18), Erick Jonel Perea Ayoví (20) and Rolando Gabriel Alejandro Campuzano (39), who remain in critical condition.
The Public Prosecutor's Office ordered the transfer of the bodies to Legal Medicine. While the police carry out operations and check security cameras, with no arrests reported.
