This Tuesday, April 16, the Venezuelan Eduardo Salazar was called up by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the first team before the match against the Washington Nationals, at Dodger Stadium.

Salazar was at the Californians' Triple A branch in Oklahoma City.

The 25-year-old Venezuelan made his major league debut last season, being promoted a couple of times by the Cincinnati Reds, before being designated for assignment in August, LVBP press reports.

In November 2023, he signed a minor league contract inviting him to Spring Training with the Dodgers.

The Dodgers are betting on him as part of a contingency plan with their pitching staff.
