Election schedule for 27-J has been met by more than 84%

The schedule for the elections on July 27 has been met by 84.45%, said the rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Conrado Pérez.

“We entered 84.45 percent of the development of the electoral schedule and we are making progress in 46 percent of the audits that are carried out because they are increasing, since we have a process prior to the elections, during them and after them,” Pérez said in statements collected by the newspaper Úlmas Noticias.

In this regard, he highlighted the participation of political organizations in this process, who, as he highlighted, have nominated a significant number of candidates.

In addition, he specified that for the 335 mayors there are a total of 10,594 candidates registered, while for the 982 nominal councilors there are 55,898 candidates, for the 1,420 councilors list, 81,588 candidates were registered and of the indigenous councilors there are 474, for a total of 148,554 candidates for the upcoming elections.

Pérez also sent a message to the People, stressing that the CNE is technologically prepared with its entire organization to hold an election like this. “We have all the necessary framework for a process like this, the trust and the commitment to guarantee the right to vote for all Venezuelans,” he said.
