Elvis Amoroso: CNE will do everything to hold presidential elections this year

The National Electoral Council (CNE) will do everything necessary to ensure that presidential elections take place during 2024, as established in our Constitution, the highest authority of the electoral body, Elvis Amoroso, assured.

In this regard, Amoroso stressed that the CNE board will begin the necessary evaluations of the 27 electoral schedule proposals prepared by deputies to the National Assembly (AN) and representatives of the opposition, in order to respond to the People in the coming days.

“The presentation of these proposals is an act of deepening our democracy,” he highlighted in statements made this Friday.

He also assured that the preparation of electoral schedule proposals is an extraordinary work of political participation in which all party sectors of the country were involved.

“The rectors of the CNE have seen with great satisfaction this process that took place, very similar to that of the consultative referendum in December in which all the people of Venezuela participated,” he said.
