The Embassy of Nicaragua accredited to Venezuela commemorated
this Thursday, with a floral offering before the sarcophagus that holds the
mortal remains of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, in the National Pantheon, in Caracas, the 45th anniversary of the Triumph of the Sandinista Popular Revolution.
The ceremony was led by Daysi Torres Bosques,
ambassador of Nicaragua, and the general director of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Latin America of the Ministry of People's Power
for
Foreign Affairs, Yolimar Villalba; accompanied by representatives of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in the country.
On July 19, 1979, the Sandinista
National Liberation Front (FSLN) defeated the dictatorship of Anastasio Somoza, supported by the United States Government.
Venezuela and Nicaragua maintain a solid relationship of
brotherhood and cooperation, consolidated by the popular force of their revolutions
and mutual solidarity in the face of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by North American imperialism.
