Representatives of the Venezuelan embassy in Mexico presented the book “The Great Victory over Nazi Germany”, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Victory Day, a collective volume that was prefaced by Nikolay Sofinskiy, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Aztec nation.
This activity was developed in conjunction with the Mexican Coordinator of Solidarity with Venezuela and the Anti-Fascist International of Mexico, where those present enjoyed the dissertation on this book that narrates the transcendental role of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War.
The presentation was given by Walter Martínez and Alejandro Zenteno, of the Anti-Fascist International, as well as diplomatic officials from the Venezuelan Embassy in Mexico.
During his dissertation, Zenteno agreed with Martínez that in history, they have tried to minimize the key role of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) in the liberation of peoples from Nazism, since it was in that territory that the decisive battles against the Third Reich were fought, as in Stalingrad.
In this sense, they recognized the leading role of the Soviet Union and the heroism of men and women who freed humanity from a totalitarian and supremacist regime. In addition, Venezuelan diplomats emphasized that the date is propitious to rewrite history and reaffirm the commitment to fight against neocolonialism, imperialism and all forms of domination.
