Focused on the new model of communal government promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, the Diploma of Leadership in Community Management began this Monday at the headquarters of the Antonio José de Sucre International School of Youth Leadership, in Filas de Mariche, Miranda state.
The rector of this institution, Héctor Rodríguez, indicated that through this educational cycle, 50,000 community boys and girls from all over the country will be trained.
“The idea is that the youth teams from each communal circuit pass, at least 10 boys per communal circuit. We are talking about 50,000 young people that we want to train in this diploma,” Rodríguez explained.
According to a press release from the social and territorial vice-presidency, the objective of this diploma course is to develop a training cycle aimed at young community members, so that they assume responsibilities and effectively channel transformation processes in communal territories, as the first step in a continuous, progressive and permanent training cycle.
The Diploma in Leadership in Community Management is made up of five modules in a cycle of 117 academic hours, distributed over 80 classroom hours, 17 hours for physical well-being and 20 hours of internship within the communal territory.
On the other hand, the rector announced that there will be another course for international leadership, where 100 young people can be received per workshop.
