The Single Authority of the Essequibo, Alexis Rodríguez Cabello, held a meeting with the governor of the Delta Amacuro state, Lizzeta Hernández, the mayor of the municipality Antonio Díaz, Amado Heredia, as well as military authorities, deputies of the National Assembly, members of the State Legislative Council and representatives of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar ( GPPSB).

The purpose of the meeting, held this Thursday, October 03, was to establish policies that promote the social, economic and productive development of the territory of Guiana Esequiba, with special emphasis on citizen identification processes, according to a press release from the Single Authority of Essequibo.

The activity took place at the headquarters of the Governors' Residence in Tucupita, where Governor Hernández emphasized the importance of accompanying the Deltano people in their integral development.

He highlighted that key areas such as infrastructure, health, education and, crucially, identification services are being prioritized in river municipalities such as Antonio Díaz with the objective of ensuring that all inhabitants of the region have access to their personal documentation, something he considered vital for their inclusion in the social programs of the Bolivarian Government.

For his part, Rodríguez Cabello stressed the importance of continuing to invest in Guiana Essequiba, with an emphasis on improving identification systems.

“It is essential that all citizens of Guiana Essequiba have access to their documentation, since it is the gateway to receiving benefits from the State and fully participating in the social and economic life of the nation,” he said.

In addition, he mentioned that the construction of identification centers and the modernization of processes are part of a comprehensive plan to ensure that no citizen is excluded.

This meeting reaffirms the commitment of the Bolivarian government, under the direction of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to work together with local authorities to ensure that the development of the Essequibo is inclusive, efficient and sustainable, prioritizing the well-being and integration of all inhabitants.
