Leones del Caracas beat Navegantes del Magallanes 8-7 and broke with a negative streak of three straight losses, at the José Bernardo Pérez stadium, for the sixth challenge between the Eternal Rivals of the 2024-2025 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).

Eugenio Suárez in his debut with the capital's team was the hero of the match, after shooting 2 home runs, being the last solo in the seventh episode that broke the 7-7 tie and gave the hairy ones the victory.

Suárez went out of the match 5-2 with a couple of RBIs and the same number scored.

“It's nice. This league has always been very special to me. I've never hit two home runs here and it's incredible to have done it in a scenario like that, against Magallanes,” Suárez said after the game, according to the LVBP press.

He assured that he is not the type of player who is looking for a particular pitching. “ I just focus on seeing and hitting the ball, which is the motto of Josman Robles, one of the coaches who helped me, and I always repeat that,” he said.

The adrenaline rush of returning to Venezuela and wearing this uniform with my family watching me is my motivation,” he said.

Pitcher Norwith Gudiño took the victory, Carlos Hernández scored the third save of the contest and Anthony Vizcaya took the defeat.
