Venezuelan artist Maricarmen Paz inaugurated the exhibition “Close-up: Interpretations of Color” at the Carlos Cruz-Diez Museum of Print and Design , with a proposal that explores color as a sensory and emotional experience.
The opening
ceremony was led by the Deputy Minister of Image and
Space Arts, Mary Pemjean, and the director of the
museum, Leonel González, who highlighted the value of the exhibition in
the current cultural context.
During
the activity, Pemjean highlighted the symbolic nature of the exhibition and its
link with the construction of harmony. “It's an encounter with light and color
that communicates with our nature,” he said, while reiterating
institutional support for national creators.
The
exhibition brings together 25 works that incorporate elements such as Flex neon light and address the
relationship between nature and perception, inspired by philosophical approaches that
invite us to transform everyday life into an intimate experience between the work and the spectator.
The proposal seeks to move away from a decorative vision of art to
immerse the public in a journey of textures and emotions, where color
becomes the central axis of the aesthetic experience.
The director of the museum invited the public to visit the exhibition,
available from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., as
part of the venue's cultural program.
