The governor of the state of Falcón, Víctor Clark, highlighted that there was a 65% increase in the arrival of seasonal workers during Carnival 2025 in the region compared to the figures for the year 2024.

He indicated that the visitors came mainly from the states of Carabobo (28%), Zulia (23%), Capital District (20%), Lara (14%), Aragua (10%) and others (5%).

He specified that these figures were issued by the Ministry of People's Power for Tourism. “Falcón had a total of 893,635 visitors, 300,000 more people than last year, a significant number that generates confidence in the economic sector because the indicators are on the rise, so we can say that this is one of the best seasons in the last seven years and the most important one that positions us as one of the most preferred states,” he explained.

Regarding hotel occupancy, he said that it stood at 78%, 15% more than in 2024, which also represents an achievement for the tourism sector, which now incorporates the phenomenon of family homes and rooms for rent as part of the offer for tourists who want to enjoy the attractions of Falcón.

“This dynamic is rapidly showing up again in the area, in which families prepared the spaces, refurbished their houses with the objective of activating the internal economy of the nucleus, so we saw Tiraya, El Supí, Buchuaco, Mata Gorda, a full house with this type of family accommodation,” he explained.

Clark reported that 82% of the seasonal workers spent between one and six days in the region, which moved economic activity mainly along the East Coast axis, the Paraguaná Peninsula and the North Central axis.

He also noted that of the family groups that entered the state, those comprised of two to seven people were 72%.

He also highlighted the planning and organization carried out to offer activities that represented added value in every corner.

In that direction, he mentioned the beach sports festival held in Zone F of Tucacas, Silva municipality; the concert held in Punto Fijo, Carirubana municipality; the first Agricultural Exhibition of Chichiriviche, in the municipality of Monseñor Iturriza and the reactivation of the Historic Center of Coro, Miranda municipality.

“We are going to continue working to expand the dynamization of the Heritage Zone to take advantage of the visits and offer more than the tourist expects to receive, since we have consolidated a service of high quality and level, combined with the special effort undertaken since the promotion of the brand,” he said.

He said that “Falcón has everything” is the premise of work that promotes the benefits of the region that is multidestination and diverse, so they work to level the conditions for all destinations in the state, “today the most sought after is Morrocoy and the Peninsula, but we do a job to position the coastal area of Punto Fijo and La Vela in the same way”.

He announced that for this month of March they will begin a plan to promote La Vela to continue growing in supply, as will the axis of the Sierra, where there are also interesting attractions such as the Hueque Falls, the Cuevas del Toro, among others.
