The Sectorial Vice President for Policy, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, recognized the daily and silent efforts of farm workers, highlighting the unique properties of their crops.

“The work that you do here, in silence. Whoever eats the banana you produce doesn't have the slightest idea how it got to your table. This is not produced by a machine, it is a plant that must be taken care of,” he said at a meeting with producers and spokespersons for the communal axis of La Sierra de Falcón, in the context of the second phase of the National Pilgrimage for a Venezuela Free of Sanctions.

Cabello highlighted the ecological nature of farmers' small crops: “Very little fertilizer is used here; it's mostly organic production, a healthy production that has added value.”

The Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace also highlighted the solidity of the proposals presented by the grassroots, stressing that the requests born of the popular debate weigh on the National Executive.

“That document should be like pure gold, because what they are there are are the opinions of those who live here. He's not a technician who came to round up the report to make it look nicer. The strength that you have, through the organization, as the communes of these five municipalities sit down to make a joint request, has enormous strength,” said Cabello.

He also assured that he will maintain a rigorous and humanistic follow-up to the commitments made in the territory: “I am annoying with that, I call and ask: 'Look, what I told you so long ago, did they do it or didn't they? ' Especially when it comes to the human issue.”
