Family Commission analyzes Protocol for the Care of Victims of Femicide

The Standing Committee on Families, Freedom of Religion and Worship analyzed the Protocol for Care for Victims of Femicide, presented to the parliamentary body by the representative of the National Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (IDENNA), Adriana Gómez, this Thursday.
The information was released by the first vice-president of the commission, Deputy Imarú González (PSUV/Amazonas), from the Boyacá room of the Bolivian Museum, who indicated that the purpose of this analysis is to guide and strengthen the capacity of public servants of institutions with competencies in dealing with children, adolescents and families, victims of femicide and gender-based violence.
The parliamentarian pointed out that the purpose of this analysis is to optimize the responses of these bodies and thus avoid their revictimization in the face of these complex situations of personal and family vulnerability.
During the presentation of the Protocol for the Care of Children, Adolescents and Family Members of Victims of Femicide and Gender-based Violence (GBV), the representative of IDENNA noted that the best interest and other principles of the doctrine of comprehensive protection must be used in difficult times, as well as advising, guiding and supporting families to address the legal, social and psychoemotional aspects associated with these traumatic experiences.
Gómez added that the presentation of the protocol to the parliamentary body has been previously worked on with the Women's Circle of the Bolivarian University of Venezuela (UBV) and the organization of families that have been victims of these events.
In turn, the second vice-president of the instance, deputy Alfonso Campos (El Cambio/Nacional), highlighted the importance detailed in the protocol in relation to the care provided by public servants when dealing with cases, stating that it must be respectful, loving and empathetic, with the objective of providing and guaranteeing optimal care.
Finally, the deputy Imarú González (PSUV/Amazonas), said that, from the subcommittees that make up the parliamentary body, they will analyze in depth and provide tools that strengthen, validate and enrich the actions of each of the actors participating in the Protocol for the Care of Children, Adolescents and Families of Victims of Femicide and GBV.
