FANB deployed 1,527 officials to protect the Electoral Simulation in Caracas

Within the framework of Operation Republic “Electoral Simulacrum 2025", the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and Public Security Agencies deployed a total of 1,527 personnel, to protect the aforementioned process, which will take place this Saturday, May 10, on the way to the next elections of governors, deputies to the National Assembly (AN) and Legislative Councils, scheduled for next May 25.

The information was released by the commander of the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI) No. 81 Capital, G/D José Ramón Figuera Valdez, indicated that officials will be deployed in the 5 municipalities, 32 parishes and 122 voting centers that have been authorized to carry out this process.

On the Instagram account of ZODI No. 81, he explained that “the intention of the command, under the planning, management, supervision and control of the Strategic Operational Command as the highest operational integrating body in ZODI number 81 capital, is to carry out a joint and unified operation of support, security and custody”.

This exercise will make it possible to evaluate the operation of voting machines, verify the efficiency of the transmission media, check the totalization platform and analyze the technical and logistical operation of the electoral system. In addition, it will allow voters to familiarize themselves with the automated voting system.

During the simulation, citizens will have the opportunity to walk through the electoral horseshoe, starting with the process of identification, issuance of the vote, deposit of the voucher and registration in the voting book, succeeding in reaffirming the transparency, speed and modernity of the automated system.
