The Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) categorically rejects the statements made by the president of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, regarding the transit carried out by the AB GUAIQUERÍ Ocean Patrol (PO-11), in pending waters to be delimited, in the context of the controversy over the territory of Guiana Esequiba.

In a statement, the FANB assured that it fulfils its constitutional functions of guaranteeing security and national sovereignty in aquatic areas.

The FANB emphasized that Guyana flagrantly violates international law by exploiting and commercializing hydrocarbons lying in territory to be delimited.

Below is the full statement from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces:

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces, in the exercise of its constitutional functions to guarantee national sovereignty and security in aquatic areas, categorically rejects the statements made by the President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, regarding the transit carried out by the AB GUAIQUERÍ Ocean Patrol (PO-11), in pending waters to be delimited, in the context of the controversy over the territory of Guiana Esequiba.

It should be noted that in the execution of the Joint Military Operation “General Domingo Antonio Sifontes”, aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the maritime spaces of the Venezuelan Atlantic Façade and its incontrovertible territory, the Bolivarian Navy has been able to verify, through satellite images, the presence of 28 foreign drillships and tankers in the controversial area, which, with the consent of the Government of Guyana and flagrantly violating International Law, are carrying out exploitative activities and commercialization of hydrocarbons lying in the subsoil. It is imperative to remember that the above-mentioned dispute has a valid legal instrument in force, deposited with the General Assembly of the United Nations, which governs its practical, political and satisfactory solution: the Geneva Agreement. Therefore, Guyana has no legal basis or legitimacy to unilaterally dispose of a space where it cannot exercise either sovereignty or jurisdiction.

We are a country attacked through proxies of North American imperialism such as Exxon Mobile, also linked to fifth columns. For this reason, the FANB rejects the biased and biased positions taken by some regional organizations, which, far from contributing to the resolution of the dispute between Venezuela and Guyana, constitute doomsayers of disaster, promoting hostility and warmongering policies. Faced with these incessant attacks, the armed institution, faithful to its anti-imperialist nature, is preparing for a perfect popular military-police fusion, to respond to any threat and preserve the territorial integrity and peace of the Republic. We are the lineage of Bolívar and Chávez!... ALL Venezuela is respected!

Chavez Lives!... The Fatherland continues! Independence and Socialist Homeland!... We Will Live and Conquer! THE VENEZUELAN SUN RISES IN THE ESSEQUIBO! Independence or Nothing!... Always Loyal... Traitors Never!
