The territorial vice-president of the Federation of Chambers and Companies of Venezuela (Fedeindustria), Jorge Hernández, stated that the union sees the year 2026 as a positive and decisive cycle for the national economy, reported the Última Noticias portal.
He noted that the current economic reconstruction process focuses on policies with an immediate impact for social welfare, based on the promotion of private investment and structural reform towards the simplification of the State.
During his participation in a private sector, Hernández positively assessed the progress of three key legal instruments promoted by the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez: the Reform of the Organic Law on Hydrocarbons; the Draft Organic Law for the Protection of Socioeconomic Rights and the Law on the Simplification of Administrative Procedures.
In his view, this legal framework is vital to de-bureaucratize production processes and generate legal certainty.
He also stressed that the beginning of 2026 has been marked by a sense of hope and trust within the private sector, in a context of economic growth and international openness.
On the other hand, Hernández stressed the importance of preparing Venezuelan businesses to be the main supplier of goods and services to the oil industry, in a model that seeks to position Venezuela as one of the main oil producing countries.
Fedeindustria's vision is for the opening of the energy sector to become an engine of development for other productive areas, generating industrial chains and new investment opportunities.
It also reported that the Venezuelan manufacturing industry grew 16% in 2025, a boost that the private sector seeks to protect in 2026 by strengthening bank credit and applying investment-oriented fiscal incentives.
Among the most relevant macroeconomic indicators, he mentioned that bank deposits increased by more than 30% and bank credit registered a similar increase, becoming a vital tool for increasing the productive capacity of companies.
However, he emphasized that to sustain this pace, it is essential to further democratize access to credit and apply tax incentives aimed specifically at new investments and the acquisition of capital goods.
Hernández celebrated the reactivation of direct flights to the United States and the presence of his chargé d'affaires in Venezuela, as signs of a process of international openness that favors economic interaction.
“Fedeindustria is working to achieve rapprochements with all countries that need to interact economically with Venezuela within this new national reality,” he said.
He said that the business union remains firm in its commitment to the country's productive development.
