With days of presentations held in different spaces of the Altagracia parish, in Caracas, the community phase of the Street Comuna, Culture and Peace Festival culminated, after three days of cultural activities at the Simon Bolivar Circuit.

During this stage, the communities served as a stage for performing arts exhibitions developed from a previous training process that included workshops in circus, dance, theater and oral narration, as well as a theoretical-practical module for cultural production aimed at community councils.

The closing performances began in the Altagracia building with the play “El Cruzao Venezolano”, continued in the Castel Grande Building with “The Corners of Old Altagracia” and ended on the court of the Zona Norte commune with the contemporary choreography “Tamarindo”.

The training process allowed for 15 assembly workshops and sought to strengthen technical and organizational capacities within the communities themselves, guaranteeing cultural productions from the territory.

The program included the participation of different community councils, which presented pieces oriented to local memory, identity and community artistic expression.

According to the organization, this phase will serve as a prelude to the communal phase of the festival, planned as a larger event within the Simon Bolivar Circuit, with the objective of continuing to promote popular artistic creation.
