Floods leave nine dead in southwestern China

Local authorities in China reported that nine people died and another 18 are missing due to a flood in the city of Kangding, in the province of Sichuan, in the southwest of the Asian country.

In this regard, they detailed that heavy rainfall occurred around 03:30 this Saturday in Kangding, causing damage to homes and road structures.

According to the Xinhua website, more than 1,660 first responders and 403 teams have been deployed in rescue efforts.
