For the first time in history, the Olympic Games will have two venues for the opening ceremony, according to the organizers of Los Angeles 2028 today. The iconic Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles and the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood will host a segment of the ceremonial, scheduled for July 14, 2028.

In the case of the Coliseum, it will become the only venue to host the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the athletics joust, with three events under the five rings, as it previously did so in 1932 and 1984.

It was also reported that the first Paralympic Games to be held in Los Angeles will be held at the SoFi stadium, with a capacity for 70,000 spectators.

In the case of the Paralympics, the ceremonies will be separate, the opening ceremony is scheduled for August 15 in Inglewood and the closing ceremony will be held on August 27 at the Coliseum.
