The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, gave an account of his meeting with the Secretary General of the UN, Antonio Guterres, where they addressed an agenda of various issues of importance for the country and for this international organization.

“We had the honor of meeting with the Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres, to whom we first transmitted the message of President Nicolás Maduro requesting that the United Nations System be involved and act consistently in the defense of the rights of Venezuelan migrants who have been kidnapped by the government of El Salvador and are under persecution and under attacks charged with hate, racism, xenophobia on the part of the US government,” Gil wrote on his account on the social network Telegram.

On the other hand, we address with concern Guyana's arbitrary actions in granting concessions to transnational corporations for the exploitation of hydrocarbons in waters that have not yet been delimited.

We also address issues of global interest that cause great concern, such as the recent aggression initiated by the State of Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran, in which Israel once again demonstrates its colonial and destabilizing role in the Middle East.
