Foreign Minister Gil: Venezuela and Haiti reaffirm ties of solidarity and cooperation

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, gave an account of the meeting he had with Leslie Voltaire, president of Haiti, where he transmitted the solidarity and cooperation of the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

“We held a fruitful bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the X Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Association of Caribbean States (AEC) with the president of the Presidential Transitional Council of Haiti, Leslie Voltaire. We convey the desire of President Nicolás Maduro to advance a common agenda based on cooperation, solidarity, mutual respect and the search for joint solutions to shared challenges,” Gil wrote on his Instagram account.

Gil added : “We reaffirm the historic ties that unite both peoples, which throughout history have demonstrated enormous value in conquering and defending sovereignty.”
