The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, said this Wednesday that brotherhood relations between Russia and Venezuela reached a new stage after the signing of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between Presidents Nicolás Maduro and Vladimir Putin, in Moscow.

In statements to the media, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister highlighted President Maduro's visit to the Russian capital as “very fruitful”, “which opens a new phase, opens a new path, a new page in relations between Russia and Venezuela (...) we can say that we are going to a new stage, we are going to a new dawn with the Russia-Venezuela relationship,” he ratified.

He highlighted the importance of Commander Hugo Chávez in reaching these levels of alliance with the Eurasian giant, because “he opened a new path that is developing with force and that today brings us to launch this strategic cooperation, like little Russia has with the rest of the world.”
