Foreign Trade Committee activates Single Spreadsheet to expedite imports

The Foreign Trade Committee (COMEX) has enabled the Single Import Form on its portal, a mechanism designed to organize procedures and facilitate the entry of merchandise into the country, the National Integrated Customs and Tax Administration Service (SENIAT) reported on Instagram.

In this regard, SENIAT says that the tool will “reduce and simplify administrative procedures to strengthen national production”.

The system asks the user to enter the corresponding tariff code to immediately display the requirements applicable to each operation.

“With this platform, the Bolivarian Government promotes transparency and speed in the management of imports, in compliance with the principles of administrative effectiveness,” the statement said.

The measure is part of the digitization process being carried out by COMEX and Seniat to reduce customs bottlenecks and ensure a more orderly commercial flow in the national territory.
