During his visit to Caracas for the Monumental League, baseball legend David Ortiz, better known as “Big Papi”, called for unity and not to be carried away by controversies on social networks, by the so-called “influencers” of the Caribbean country, after the world championship won by Venezuela, stating “don't mind that, they are always thinking and wanting to put those flags against it”.

The Dominican star emphasized that the connection between the two nations transcends any virtual conflict, ensuring that affective bonds are unbreakable. “But the truth is this: we Dominicans and Venezuelans have a unique brotherhood. And that cannot be disrupted by the networks and taken away from all this nonsense that people talk on the networks. I don't stop that.”

For his part, former grandeliga Carlos Baerga was impressed by the hospitality received and the quality of the sports infrastructure in the country. “Yesterday, since we boarded the plane from Dominicana to here, what we have been through has been extremely special. I want to thank first of all Miguel and the Monumental League working group for putting this together. This park is out of league. Since we were entering at the beginning I said: 'Wow! '. Venezuela has the most brutal park in Latin America,” he said with enthusiasm.

Finally, Baerga did not hesitate to project Venezuela as a stage of international stature, stating: “And I already declare that a World Classic must come here, in the name of God.”
