Four individuals arrested for stealing Cantv material in Aragua and Falcón

Four citizens were arrested in the states of Aragua and Falcón for their alleged participation in the theft of strategic material belonging to the Venezuelan National Anonymous Telephone Company (CANTV), as part of actions coordinated with State security agencies to protect telecommunications infrastructure.

In a press release, CANTV details that in Falcón state, police officers apprehended three individuals in the Northern Parish of the Carirubana municipality, who were in a recycling plant with several rolls of copper cable owned by the institution.

After the seizure of the material, the citizens were brought to the order of the Public Prosecutor's Office for their alleged connection to crimes affecting public property and the provision of telecommunications services in the region.

For his part, in the state of Aragua, a citizen was arrested in the parish of Sugar Caña, in the municipality of Mario Briceño Irigorry, who was found in possession of a telephone cable. The procedure was carried out in coordination with security agencies and spokespersons of the Technical Telecommunications Boards.
