Four teams are fighting for the lead of the FUTVE League 2025 Apertura Tournament

Between Friday 14 and Sunday 16 March, the seven matches corresponding to the eighth date of the 2025 Apertura Tournament of the Venezuelan Football League (FUTVE League) were played, results that leave four teams fighting for the leader.
Deportivo La Guaira, UCV FC, Deportivo Táchira and Carabobo FC are in the first positions with 15 points each, in eight games played.
Monagas SC beat Zamora FC 2-1 with goals from Ronald Rodríguez in the 6th minute and Cristian Ramírez in 54′ at the Monumental Stadium in Maturín. The discount was made by Renny Cabeza at 90+7′
For their part, Caracas FC and Academia Puerto Cabello equalized 0-0 at the Olympic stadium in the capital city. Same result between Anzoátegui FC and Portuguesa FC at the José Antonio Anzoátegui stadium, Puerto La Cruz
At Pachencho Romero in Maracaibo, Rayo Zuliano defeated Yaracuyanos FC 2-0, with a double from Richard Blanco at 26′ and 28′.
Meanwhile, UCV FC and Carabobo FC drew 1-1 at the Olympic Games in Caracas. Juan Manuel Cuesta scored 24′ for the locals and Flabián Londoño scored 37′ for the visit. That was also the result in the match between Deportivo Táchira 1-1 Metropolitanos FC, at the Pueblo Nuevo stadium, San Cristóbal. Nicolás Fedor overtook the guests to 59′ and Juan Carlos Ortiz discounted 67′ for the house.
The day culminated with the victory of Deportivo La Guaira 2-1 over Estudiantes de Mérida, at the UCV Olympic stadium, with targets from Carlos Augusto Rojas at 77′ and Juan Castellano at 84′ for the orange machine and Antonio Romero at 41′ for the Red and Whites.
