This Thursday, the leader of the Socialist Party in France, Olivier Faure, accused President Emmanuel Macron of wanting to reverse the results of the elections by avoiding naming a prime minister of the coalition that won the recent elections.
“Macron wants to reverse the results of the elections seeking to create coalitions of opposites. This is a considerable democratic denial in which we will not participate,” Faure said.
Likewise, according to information published by Telesur, he stressed that the French president “is the first to guarantee democracy. I shouldn't be the one who creates chaos all the time.”
The socialist leader announced that the New Popular Front (NFP) will immediately vote to censor a government that comes from the right. “The idea that Laurent Wauquiez (of the right-wing Republican Party -LR) could be prime minister is completely crazy: his parliamentary group is the weakest, his project has not been approved by anyone,” Faure said.
The left-wing block has nearly 200 deputies, while LR has 45 seats out of a total of 577.
