The Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Freddy Alfred Nazaret Ñáñez, toured the state of Táchira to oversee the process of collecting seeds and germinating plants of the Chuquisaca Plan.

“The Chuquisaca Plan is a program whose goal in the state of Táchira is to plant 350,000 medicinal, fruit and forest trees, objectives that we are going to achieve,” said Ñáñez.

In San Cristóbal, Ñáñez visited the School of Recycling, a space that has a strategic alliance with the Mayor's Office of Caracas regarding the reuse of these resources.

“The alliance between the Mayor's Office of Caracas and the recycling school has a perspective of optimal consolidation, a practice that absolutely meets international standards,” said Ñáñez.

He also highlighted that the capital of Tachira is emerging as a model city for solving the problem of solid waste through recycling, the circular economy and the use of waste, consolidating an ecosocialist approach to urban management.

The Minister also visited the institutional nursery of the Ecosocialist Territorial Unit (UTEC) Area No. 2 Rubio, located in the Los Limones sector of the Junín municipality. This space, created in 1976, has 4 hectares of extension, 460 terraces and an installed capacity for the production of 460,000 plants, offering germination, substrate preparation and sprinkler irrigation services.

“This nursery has an impressive work capacity. We held an assembly with the commune of the sector, we were also meeting there with the ecosocialist movements, we listened to their main concerns and proposals,” he said.

Later, it was transferred to the collection center of the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism (MINEC) next to the Government of the state of Táchira, where several communes converge for recycling. There, the inhabitants have presented ecological projects with a vision of a solution and aligned with environmental care policies.

Ñáñez reiterated that this deployment is also part of the impetus for the election of community projects scheduled for next March 8, International Women's Day. “This March 8, we have an appointment: all the communes of the country, an appointment to choose our future. We expect them to mobilize very early, starting at 15 years of age, with their laminated cell, to the voting centers; it's very easy, this is possible only in Venezuela.”
