The National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) will hold special days from May 18 to 25 in the states of Guárico and Anzoátegui, for heavy cargo carriers to process and update their road permits.
This initiative seeks to facilitate compliance with articles 97 and 128 of the Land Transportation Act in both entities, the INTT reported on its website.
Drivers who attend the established points will receive an immediate response to their requests, which will speed up the regularization of their traffic documents.
In the state of Guárico, service units will receive users in the town of Calabozo, specifically on the national highway via San Fernando (Troncal 2).
For its part, the day in the state of Anzoátegui will operate at the La Guarapera Citizen Service Point (PAC), located in El Tigre. Both temporary locations will work regular hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The INTT will coordinate these activities in order to renew and issue the Register of Freight Transport Operators (ROTC) in an original way.
The president of the institution, Luis Granko, said that this deployment offers direct service, without intermediaries and on public roads for the benefit of carriers.
“This modality avoids drivers' diversion from their usual routes, who will no longer need to go to traditional regional offices,” he explained.
He noted that “this street strategy optimizes road safety and increases service quality through an updated census of active service providers in the Llanera and Eastern regions. The simplification of legal procedures seeks to reduce informality in the goods transport sector.”
