FUNVISIS reported a 3.5 earthquake in La Guaira

The Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISI) reported that an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 was recorded on the night of this Saturday, May 16, in the state of La Guaira.

Through his Instagram account, he published the report, in which he detailed that the earthquake occurred at 21:46 (local time) and had a surface depth of 5.0 kilometers, according to the official report.

The epicenter was located at coordinates 10,597 N and -66,923 W, about 2 kilometers southeast of La Guaira, on the country's central coast.

So far, no material damage or casualties associated with the seismic event have been reported, according to preliminary information provided by the agency.
