At the National Art Gallery (GAN), the exhibition The Dream Universe: A Journey into the Subconscious, by the Zulian plastic artist, Johan Galué, opened, who emphasized that the 47-piece exhibition is a reflection of his inner world, nourished by reading and research.
“My plastic discourse is based on capturing all that internal universe that I have built thanks to reading and my research. I fearlessly dare to express what I like, seeking to please myself,” he said, a Venezuelan Television review.
He also pointed out that his pieces start from figuration and then transform. My works are not based on photographic support; I create everything from my imagination”.
During the inauguration, the Deputy Minister for Arts, Space and Image, Mary Pemjean, highlighted the cultural richness of Venezuela and the importance of projecting the work of artists from all over the country. “It's good that artists from other corners of the country are here in the Gallery, in this space that many dream of. Today it's an honor to have you here, Johan, for winning the Arturo Michelena award and for your great works,” he said.
