Garcés and Miyamoto oversee the Financial Center of Confinanzas or the “Tower of David” in Caracas

The Minister of Popular Power for Transportation and president of the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of Infrastructure Habitability, Francisco Garcés, accompanied by engineer Hideki “Kit” Miyamoto, carried out an inspection of the Financial Center of Confinances, also known as the “Tower of David” in Caracas.

Garcés explained that it represents a challenge for engineering, to be able to recover it or reuse it. “Today we came with Miyamoto to learn about his impression of this structure, and its possibilities for its use,” he said.

He also highlighted that more than 54,000 inspections have been carried out by more than 3,000 specialists, which have made it possible to complete the first phase of inspection, to proceed to the second stage, which will aim at the recovery and detailed analysis of those buildings labeled in red or yellow.

For his part, Miyamoto pointed out about the “Tower of David” that it has no structural damage, so he would categorize it with the green label, and stressed that they will work together to carry out a more detailed exploration.

In this way, the National Government led by the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, remains firm in its commitment to the welfare of Venezuelans, thanks to international technical cooperation that will allow the restoration of Venezuela.
