GMVM and ASIC hold a health care day in the Zea municipality of Mérida

In order to provide medical assistance, the teams from the Tovar Comprehensive Community Health Area (ASIC) and the Great Venezuela Women's Mission (GMVM), carried out a sectoral deployment to provide specialized consultations and deliver medicines to 183 people in the Simoncito Marta Lucía Contreras in the municipality of Zea, in Mérida.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Health, among the patients treated, there were 110 women and 73 men, of whom 164 were adults, 16 children, 3 adolescents and 13 older adults; who received care in the areas of general medicine, gynecology, dentistry, pediatric checkup with complementary evaluation and direct evaluations for older adults.

Health professionals coordinated the execution of 183 general medicine consultations, six specialized gynecological examinations, medical planning supplemented by pediatric check-ups, 31 preventive dentistry treatments, 82 general nursing procedures and 13 direct evaluations for older adults, in addition to the application of 16 doses corresponding to the basic immunization schedule established for the epidemiological protection of the Merida communities.

Meanwhile, the institutional pharmacy area dispensed a total of 5,209 units of medication free of charge, social assistance that directly benefited 136 patients evaluated during the field activity.
