GNB arrested a subject who tried to bring drugs to a prison in Guárico

A driver attached to the Ministry of Penitentiary was arrested during a procedure carried out at the Center for Prosecuted Persons 26 de Julio, in San Juan de los Morros, Guárico state, after trying to bring two pots of marijuana and a firearm to the scene.

According to information published in a well-known national newspaper, the procedure was carried out by members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), who during an entry review seized two marijuana pots weighing 1 kilo 195 grams, a.38 revolver, a Davis Industries 22 caliber gun and a cell phone.

The mentioned items were transported inside the belongings of Ramiro Antonio Rodríguez, who acts as the driver of the prison institution.

On the other hand, it became known that in the Western Penitentiary Center, located in Santa Ana (Táchira), military officials seized 10 mini-wrappers of cocaine, weighing 248 grams; a marijuana mini-pot, 11 punches, a hammer, a chisel, 12 handmade pipes, 6 chargers for phones, 5 headphones for phones and a cell phone.

All this material was hidden in the seclusion areas of the main tower of the above-mentioned prison facility.
