Godfather: Civic-military union has regained historic strength to show us united in the face of imperialism

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, from the Miraflores Palace, where he hosted the massive Popular Victory March of the April Revolution, highlighted the courage of the representatives of the Armed Forces in defending the Revolution, the constitutional thread and Commander Hugo Chávez.

In this regard, the Head of State invited the current Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López to take the floor, who stressed that “already at this time that April 13, the mercenaries of the North American mission were crestfallen, whom we saw very dynamic on the 11th and 12th in the barracks and in the Army Commands, and by this time it was something else”.

He specified that already by that time “civic-military union was being forged at the doors of the barracks in union with the People of Venezuela.”

He also assured that this civic union “has regained strength, it has regained the historic strength to show us united today in the face of historical imperialism to show ourselves united today in the face of imperialism”.

He also took the opportunity to warn that “momentous moments are coming for the country and that same civic-military union, that same moral force with which they succeeded us on April 13, is necessary for them to succeed us now. With the same resistance, the same strength and the same morality to tell North American imperialism that there is patriotic glory here, there is morality and there is a Bolivarian project for history.”
