A total of 200 fishermen received funding to boost their production as part of the economic development agenda carried out by the authorities of the state of La Guaira.

The local press details that Terán described as a historic event the articulation between private banking and the State in the provision of financing. “These 200 credits are equivalent to 76 million bolivars, a significant sum. This is the first time that private banks have organized a delivery of financing in alliance with the State. Our objective is to continue consolidating the growth of the fishing sector in a sustained manner,” he said.

For her part, the vice-president of the BNC, Carmen Pérez, explained that, “this process is part of a technical and social work carried out during the last quarter, which has made it possible to serve 27 CONPPAs on the Guairian coast in this first phase.”
