Government installed working table with industry sectors to strengthen energy savings

In order to consolidate the country's energy stability, representatives of the industry and commerce sectors expressed their support for the energy efficiency strategies promoted by the Bolivarian Government, the Ministry of Popular Power for Electric Energy (MPPEE) reported on its Instagram account.

During a meeting, led by the Sectorial Vice Presidency for Public Works and Services (VSOPS) at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Chamber of the Food Industry (CAVIDEA), the private sector committed itself to working hand in hand with the MPPEE and the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) in the implementation of plans, to optimize energy consumption and ensure the continuity of electricity service for the benefit of the Venezuelan people.

In his speech, the corporate manager of Public Affairs at Empresas Polar, Ibrahim Torres, welcomed the installation of the working table to agree on joint actions that benefit the National Electricity System (SEN) and that food productivity prevails in the national territory.

“We are all looking for the best for the country and at Empresas Polar we are looking for the best results, so we want to work hand in hand with the institutions, as well as reaffirm agreements. We have a lot of processes with more than twenty plants nationwide and we are going to work as a team as we have been doing,” he said.

He also expressed the expectations of the sector to give continuity to production in its companies, maintaining the will to “contribute together, and we are totally available”.

For his part, the executive president of CAVIDEA, Juvenal Arveláez, pointed out that understanding the conjunctural moment in the national electricity sector is part of the awareness of the union he represents, so they are willing to present proposals that will produce favorable results for the country in the coming days.

The meeting was attended by representatives of more than fifty companies, including: Agroindustries Proeba C.A., Alimentos Heinz C.A. , Alfonzo Rivas & Cía, Alimentos Arcos Dorados de Venezuela C.A., Aniquesos, C.A. ; Successor to José Puig, Empresas Polar Comercial C.A., among others.
