Government of Anzoátegui announces reactivation of ophthalmic surgeries at Dr. Felipe Guevara hospital in El Tigre

Local and regional authorities announced the reactivation of ophthalmic surgery services at the Dr. Felipe Guevara Rojas hospital, located in the city of El Tigre, capital of the Simón Rodríguez municipality.

The governor of the state of Anzoátegui, Luis José Marcano, reported that they invested more than 400,000 dollars in the rehabilitation of this area of the main hospital in the southern part of the eastern entity. The regional president said that this action will guarantee the quality of life of those who require ophthalmic surgery.


The state chief said that during the first day of the reactivation of this service, 11 patients with terygium were treated and in the coming weeks they will receive those who need surgery for cataracts. Marcano pointed out that they estimate receiving 100 people a month, with care every two or three days, according to a press release.
