Government of Anzoátegui reactivated ophthalmic surgery service at the Dr. Felipe Guevara Rojas Hospital in El Tigre

The governor of the state of Anzoátegui, Luis José Marcano, led the reactivation of the ophthalmic surgery service at the Dr. Felipe Guevara Rojas hospital in El Tigre.

In this regard, he stated that this action guarantees the quality of life of those who need an ophthalmic operation and added that this service consisted of an investment of more than 400,000 dollars.

Through a post on its Instagram account, the government explained that “on its first day of operation, 11 patients with terygium were treated and it is estimated that in the coming weeks cases with cataract pathology will be treated. He added that the objective is to intervene with 100 people a month, with care every 2 or 3 days.”

“This is part of the policies that President Nicolás Maduro directed for our health centers during the year 2025. Already here, starting the year, we are materializing them. I thank Mayor Alberto Gago for this very important investment to guarantee the provision of medical equipment,” said the governor.
