Government of La Guaira rehabilitated 120 educational institutions in the state

The Government of the state of La Guaira completed the comprehensive rehabilitation of 120 educational institutions throughout the state in a period of six weeks.

In an atmosphere of deep emotion, recalling three months of the tragic earthquake that hit the region, Governor José Alejandro Terán offered words of comfort and hope to the Guaireña families: “Today I will not deny that we wake up with a wrinkled heart; three months in which we say goodbye to so many people, family and friends; three months in which there are absences that will accompany us and wounds that we will carry in our souls. But we ask God to give us the strength so that sadness and pain can be transformed into strength to continue living and to continue to be reborn,” said the shaken regional president.

In this regard, in statements replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), Terán stressed the importance of the reconstruction and transformation of pain into spaces of life and decent education for youth. “To move towards a society where they live happily, with full guarantees of rights in all areas. Move from placing a red label to a green label, to a space of lights, life and hope, such as education. The John Paul II School is one of the most recognized schools in the state of La Guaira for its academic quality, but above all because of the values and habits in which the students who are enrolled here are trained,” he emphasized.

In addition, the Governor gave well-deserved recognition to the institution's management and teaching team for their perseverance and irreplaceable work during the contingency and in the school rehabilitation phase: “We are here thanks to the tireless work of the school directors, who have been present every day supervising, motivating and guaranteeing the development of works to restore joy to our boys and girls,” he concluded.
