Government of Lara kicked off the campaign Care for Energy, Turn on Life

The government of the state of Lara, in coordination with the Ministry of People's Power for Electric Energy, initiated the institutional campaign Take Care of Energy, Turn on Life, with the objective of promoting responsible consumption habits both in residential and work spaces.

Through a press release, the government specified that the awareness-raising strategy contemplates the dissemination of practical recommendations to reduce electricity demand without interfering with daily activities.

He noted that the main measures include setting the air conditioning thermostat to a level no lower than 23°C, replacing incandescent bulbs with LED technology and taking advantage of natural lighting in homes and offices. The campaign also emphasizes the importance of unplugging video game consoles , computers, mobile phone chargers and other devices that, even when turned off, continue to consume electricity.
