The governor of the state of Miranda, Elio Serrano, together with the vice-president for the Social Area, Héctor Rodríguez, led the inauguration of the “Indio Chacao” Grandparents House, located in the municipality of Chacao.

According to information issued by the Government, the structure is the second of its kind at the state level and has fully equipped spaces to offer free physiotherapy services, emergency care, dentistry and general medicine consultation.

We have the challenge of building happiness, and for this it is imperative to provide the necessary material conditions. This space is a concrete effort to conquer the stability of our people,” said the Governor.
For his part, the sector vice-president Héctor Rodríguez pointed out that 'the main influencers of our children must be their grandparents; they represent our main moral reserve and must be an active part of the cultural battle. '

He also assured that, on the instructions of the president in charge, priority has been given to searching for 8% to 10% of the elderly population who are in a situation of absolute loneliness.

“It has already been possible to identify and recruit 365,000 grandparents in the national territory in order to structure a permanent care system,” he said.
