The Bolivarian Government of the Monagas state remains deployed to deal with the effects left by the rains this Saturday.

According to information from the PSUV, the governor of Monagas, Ernesto Luna, together with the emergency team from the Acosta municipality, was deployed to serve families in the sector.

The rise of the Guarapiche River led to the closure of traffic on the national road that connects San Antonio de Capayacuar with the community of El Rincón and sectors of the Montes municipality in the state of Sucre.

The team, made up of the Secretary of Prevention and Public Safety, leads the deployment and monitors the area together with Civil Protection officials and the Fire Department, waiting for river levels to begin to fall and thus evaluate the damage caused and provide a timely response to affected communities.

So far, no other types of damage have been reported in the sectors.
