Government of Táchira favors patients with cataract surgery

A total of 100 men and women underwent cataract surgery, in the pavilions of the San Cristóbal Central Hospital, through the 44th surgical day of Cataracts Health and Wellness organized by the Tachirense Family Foundation.

Quoted in a press release from the government, Karem Durán de Bernal, president of the institution, explained the work and the meaning of being able to provide solutions to people to improve their visual capacity.

“Cataracts, or opacities in the lens of the eye, can obscure vision and significantly affect the quality of life of any person, thanks to these days, hope is reborn in every look recovered by the skill of medical professionals,” he said.
