More than 117,000 dental care services have been provided by the Sonrisa Mission in Yaracuy state over 13 years of operation, during which time it has delivered 140 dental prostheses that benefit 70 grandparents from different municipalities of the entity.
The single health authority, Marilyn Velásquez, highlighted, through a regional press release, that the more than 117,000 services provided in the entity cover a wide range of free services for the good of the population, which were previously inaccessible to the most vulnerable sectors due to their high costs in the private market.
He explained that these services include oral restorations and sanitation, minor extractions and surgeries, deep cleaning, personalized prosthetic treatments and pediatric dentistry.
He also pointed out that the program has managed to install more than 6,000 prostheses directly to those who have requested the services.
